Snapped4U launched June 1, 2010 as a site for selling photos of people, pets and fundraisers at the set price of $4. We now have a new option: Photographer's Choice Galleries. These galleries let photographers choose both the subject and price of their photos.
Our original Event Galleries remain the same. They are still exclusively for photos of people out with friends, family and pets at special events. The price is set at $4/photo and the photographer receives $3.50/photo sold. They are free to post and will remain posted for a minimum of 8 weeks.
The new Photographer's Choice Galleries let the photographer choose the subject and the price of the photos. (The chosen price applies to all photos in the gallery.) A sales commission of $0.50/photo applies to photos priced at $5 or less; a 10% commission applies to all others. There is a posting fee of $9 per 3-month period. Payment is made when the gallery is first posted and marks the beginning of the 3-month period.
All Galleries
- The photographer is responsible for identifying and promoting the gallery so that the photos can be easily found by customers.
- Galleries are limited to 300 photos.
- All photos are sold as jpeg files, and the maximum file size/photo is 4MB.
- The long side of each photo must be at least 1600 pixels so that the customer can print a decent 8x10.
- The photographers must have a PayPal account registered to the same email address as his/her Snapped4U account. On the 1st and 15th of each month, that email address is used to automatically generate payment of the Snapped4U account balance to the PayPal account.
